BACKGROUND:

With the COVID-19 response dominating the national economy,  the Federal Government is set to deliver a Federal Budget that will contain measures designed to help stimulate economic growth and jobs.   At the heart of this Budget could be manufacturing.

The AFGC has been continually advocating to Government that the food, beverage and grocery manufacturing is an industry that not only ensures that the supermarket shelves are stocked but creates jobs and significantly contributes to local and national economies.

The AFGC has been working to ensure that the Government strongly considers an investment allowance or instant asset write-off as part of the Budget or in some way provide assurances to the future of the sector to encourage investment and therefore growth.

Members questions will be encouraged on the day.

Participants will be provided Webex meeting details on completion of registration.
