DATE: Friday, 12 June 2020 TIME: 10.00 – 11.00am AEST THIS IS A FULL MEMBER EVENT ONLY |
BACKGROUND:
COVID-19 is affecting many E-commerce businesses and how consumers shop online. In this difficult time, many brick-and-mortar retailers are watching foot traffic and sales drop to near zero. The most significant shift in consumer behaviour is happening in E-commerce globally. According to Rakuten Intelligence, order volume for online grocery retailers surged 210% from March 12th to 15th compared to the same period in 2019 in the US. Also, according to insights from Austrade in India, a number of online grocery platforms such as Grofers and Big Basket reported 50% growth in order volume during the 2 weeks before the lock-down period. Similar growth is reported in many other markets.
Austrade has prepared a series of four webinars as training packages which can be viewed here.
Webinar 1: Preparing for E-commerce trade
Webinar 2: Digital marketing strategies
Webinar 3: E-commerce operations and logistics
Webinar 4: Understanding E-commerce landscape in key markets
The first two sessions explain how to set up an online presence and drive traffic to your online product listing whereas session 3 elaborates on operational arrangements such as logistic options for cross border E-commerce and payments. Session 4 will provide an overview of E-commerce landscape in key markets and how to develop e-commerce strategy.
After viewing the pre-recorded training packages, join the webinar to understand how you can set up your business for leveraging E-commerce opportunities and for any questions on the above content.
