AFGC WEBINAR | MODERN MANUFACTURING INITIATIVE (MMI) FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANUFACTURING

Join us for an information session and Q&A with the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources on funding opportunities for Food and Beverage manufacturing projects.
The Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI) is the centrepiece of the Australian Government’s Modern Manufacturing Strategy (MMS). The MMI Translation and Integration streams will help businesses to commercialise and scale up great manufacturing ideas, drive collaboration and identify new opportunities to access domestic and global value chains.
On 29 March 2021, the Hon Karen Andrews MP, former Minister for Industry, Science and Technology launched:
- The Food and Beverage National Manufacturing Priority road map
- Funding opportunities under the MMI Translation and Integration streams for projects that align with the Food and Beverage National Manufacturing Priority area.
Funding opportunities
The MMI is now open providing co-funding for manufacturing projects across two streams:
- Manufacturing Translation stream: this stream helps Australian manufacturers translate high quality research and ideas into commercial outcomes and support businesses to scale-up and become more competitive and resilien
- Manufacturing Integration stream: this stream helps Australian manufacturers to access domestic and international value chains, propelling their goods and services into new markets and fostering Australia’s reputation as a modern manufacturing leader.
- Applications for the Translation and Integrations streams close 27 April 2021 5PM AEST.

Kristen Palmer Department of Industry, Science, Energy Ms Palmer has led the development of the industry-led Food and Beverage road map, including secretariat support for the Food and Beverage Manufacturing Taskforce. |
Nunzio Cristaudo Department of Industry, Science, Energy Mr Cristaudo is leading the engagement aspects of the Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI), consulting directly with industries within the six National Manufacturing Priority areas. |
