BACKGROUND:
The Negotiating Remotely Webinar from The Gap Partnership provides 5 considerations for when face-to-face negotiation is not an option. It will help delegates increase confidence and reduce stress when tackling even the most difficult negotiations in the current climate. It reviews some of the core negotiation competencies outlined in the Gap Partnership workshops, including planning, getting inside the other party’s head, trading concessions, not crediting the other party with more power than they have and how to work together as a team through your remote negotiations. The thought process and considerations addressed through this webinar will give delegates the ability to become more consciously competent when making their communication channel decisions. Attendees will leave with an understanding of what an effective communication plan looks like and understand the appropriate mediums of communication for any given task in a negotiation
This webinar combines these new commercial realities with relative industry insight involving practical examples. Delegates will leave the workshop with a detailed document that steps them through the considerations they should make when preparing for a remote negotiation as well as tactics they should be particularly focused on recognising in the immediate term.
SPEAKERS:
Nick Harvey
Nick leads the Gap Partnership for ANZ and joined the organization in 2013. Prior to this, Nick’s career included commercial positions spanning 20 years around the globe with major blue chip FMCG companies, working in Geneva and London primarily. While the Gap Partnership spans many sectors from transport to tech to financial services, Nick has a central focus on the FMCG sector given his background.
Nick believes negotiation is at the core of the commercial part of the industry and has a desire to see the suppliers evolve and generate value from their negotiations and contracts. Nick spends most of his time consulting and working with his team to be thought leaders in the industries they play in.
