You may be aware of the recent press announcements outlining the future of Advanced Recycling (AR) in Australia. One of the consortia cited is Qenos, Cleanaway, Plastic Energy and Axens.

The feasibility study announced will convert up to 100,000 tonnes of household soft plastic and mixed plastics to create circular polyethylene with an estimated commercialisation timing of 2025.

Qenos is offering an EOI to their customers asking them to confirm their Post-Consumer Recycled content needs for circular polyethylene. Expressions of interest will close in mid-April 2022.

This provides an opportunity for you to reach out to your soft plastic supplier(s) and signal your potential 2025 volume requirements for circular polyethylene.
