Indonesia is one the fastest-growing economies in the Indo-Pacific and is projected to be the world’s fifth-largest economy by 2030. Rising demand by Indonesian consumers for healthy, safe, high-quality products presents opportunities for Australian exporters, especially given the reduction in tariffs from the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IACEPA).

Since 2020, Indonesia has announced a series of new regulations that will impact exports, with the new Halal Product Assurance requirements being the most significant and immediate.
