The AFGC’s Trading Partner Forum (consisting members and major retailers Coles, Metcash and Woolworths) in partnership with GS1 Australia have just released a new report to industry shining a spotlight on the level of alignment for key data points including Trade Unit (carton/shipper) dimensions and weights, as well as Pallet Ti-Hi’s.
The report tracks SC PMD alignment throughout the end-to-end supplier and retailer supply chain, including supplier ERP systems, the National Product Catalogue, and Retailer ERP systems and Warehouse Management Systems. Both quantitative and qualitative findings regarding misalignment of data points are assessed, areas of inaccuracy and misalignment are highlighted, root causes and their drivers are investigated, and proposals to improve SC PMD in the industry are provided.
