FSANZ releases 2023-24 annual report

The Food Standards Australian New Zealand (FSANZ) 2023-24 annual report provides a valuable snapshot of the key standards development and other activities of the agency, as well as a glimpse into future priorities. It shows there’s been an increase in the number of amendments made to the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code – up 27% and 56% over the last two years respectively. Other highlights included the world first approval for a GM banana and completion of the long running infant formula standards review.
