The Food and Grocery Code of Conduct (FGCC) is a mandatory code made under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, monitored, regulated and enforced by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
The FGCC aims to improve standards of business behaviour in the food and grocery sector. This includes the conduct of retailers and wholesalers towards their suppliers.
It applies to large grocery businesses with an annual revenue greater than $5 billion.
The Code Supervisor, Professor Elizabeth Sarofim, oversees dispute resolution between suppliers and large grocery businesses.

The ACCC regulates the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct.
There are significant changes to the Code, including financial penalties for non-compliance and several new inclusions and provisions. These changes mean that many of the existing clauses can be interpreted and applied differently. In response, we’ve redeveloped our training programs from the ground up.
