Australian food and beverage SMEs are leading the country’s shift away from single-use packaging, but making that change without affecting shelf life, product quality, food safety or efficiency can be hard.
Speakers: Francesca Goodman-Smith, Professor Simon Lockrey – Facilitated by Sarah Collier
About: This webinar introduces the Food and Beverage SME Packaging and Machinery Solutions Centre, a new national initiative from End Food Waste Australia, RMIT, the Australasian Institute of Packaging, the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association, and Tetra Pak.
You’ll hear how the Centre gives businesses independent advice on packaging, processing and machinery, free from supplier bias. It also offers dollar-for-dollar co-funded research projects, access to research labs across Australia, and the chance to test solutions before taking them to market. We’ll cover who is eligible, what a project involves, and how to submit an Expression of Interest. It’s a good fit for any SME looking to adopt more sustainable packaging without increasing food waste.
