Thursday 28 March 2019 – Melbourne
Thursday 4 April 2019 – Sydney
The AFGC is hosting its annual RCMI and QSRI Training Workshops. The aim of the RCMI and QSRI is to:
- Reduce advertising and marketing to children for food and drinks that are not healthier choices
- Use advertising and marketing to promote healthy eating and lifestyles to children
- Provide parents with a means to raise concerns about advertising to children.
From 1 June 2019, the RCMI and QSRI will apply to all food and beverage advertisers who choose to direct their advertising primarily to children or who place their advertising, intentionally or inadvertently, in children’s media. This includes during children’s television programming, online material, social media and through interactive games.
Facilitated by Fiona Jolly, CEO of Ad Standards, this session will skill you in all aspects of the RCMI and QSRI to properly equip you for the impending changes. The session is suitable for anyone in food manufacturing and QSR, and is particularly relevant to marketing, corporate affairs and legal personnel as well as representatives from creative and media buying agencies and media owners.
