Food and Grocery Code of Conduct

As we move towards the implementation of the mandatory Code of Conduct, the AFGC has lodged submissions to the exposure draft legislation and regulations. This was not an opportunity to reprosecute major questions considered in the review of the Code. However, it was an opportunity to assess the specific wording of the new Code to ensure a faithful execution of the review’s 11 recommendations. With the Code due to sunset on 1 April 2025, we anticipate that the legislation and regulations wiil be introduced to Parliament in the coming weeks.
