Samantha Blake moving to new role

After 20 years of service to the AFGC, Samantha Blake is transitioning to a new role within the AFGC, Director Retail. In this new role she will have responsibility for assisting the CEO, Board and members improve standards of business conduct with supermarket retailers, with a particular focus on the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct.  

The AFGC’s Industry Affairs division will now be led by Shalini Valecha, who comes into the role with over 20 years’ industry experience and six years at the AFGC, where she has led our work on trade and export, economic analysis and digital labelling. Samuel Garcia will continue as the Manager of Supply Chain and will now also handle our economic analysis and data tasks. If you have any questions about these changes, please reach out to him.
