The Australian Food and Grocery Council (AFGC) operates http://www.afgc.org.au. Information Collection and Use
The Australian Food and Grocery Council (AFGC) collects personal information when companies apply for membership, use the contact form on the website or register for an event. The information collected may include contact details, business turnover figures, manufacturing locations, amount and method of payment, and preferences as to the ways in which company representatives agree to be contacted by the AFGC. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name, contact details, payment information, social media profiles or subscription preferences for AFGC publications (“Personal Information”)
AFGC members may be invited to access the members-only online portal via this website. We provide individual log-in details to current employees of member companies on request.
Personal information is also collected about individuals/companies making enquiries about the AFGC and its work, whether by post, telephone, fax or email. This information is used to respond to the enquiry, and for subsequent follow-up if required. AFGC will not disclose information about enquirers without their consent or as required by law. AFGC does not insist on enquirers identifying themselves, respecting their right to remain anonymous, but this may limit our ability to respond and assist them.
Personal information is only collected where it is necessary for one or more of our functions or activities. We will not collect, use or disclose sensitive information without your consent, or in circumstances permitted in the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information Correction or Deletion

Membership Details
The AGFC does not and will not sell, rent or share our membership database or membership mailing list. The Officers may disclose information about specific members in accordance with their clearly expressed preferences about the ways in which they are prepared to assist AFGC achieve its objectives.
The AFGC uses an email mailing lists to communicate with members and subscription to this list is opt-in, that is, we do not add email addresses to our mailing lists without express prior consent. List members can unsubscribe at any time.
