International trade

Australia’s food, beverage and grocery manufacturing sector provides a reliable and safe supply of food and jobs. Nearly a quarter of all food and grocery products manufactured in Australia are exported to overseas markets.

For the industry to prosper and deliver, manufacturers and suppliers must have fair and equitable access to local and global markets. This involves initiatives that promote:

  • mutually beneficial supply chain practices
  • fair and equitable commercial processes and practices
  • access to global trade and investment markets.
