New AFGC Member resource: Key talking points on industry priorities

13 October 2025

To support you in representing our industry with confidence and consistency, we’re excited to share a new AFGC member benefit: a set of Talking Points designed to help you engage effectively with stakeholders on the key policy and regulatory issues shaping our sector.

These Talking Points have been developed to make it easier for you to speak about some of the more pressing issues our sector is facing – clearly and confidently, across three priority areas:

  • Industry Policy and Manufacturing
  • Nutrition and Regulation
  • Sustainability

Each set of talking points outlines our shared position on key issues, the challenges we face, and the practical policy solutions we’re advocating for on behalf of the sector.

From supply chain resilience and regulatory reform to decarbonisation, packaging, and nutritional regulation, this is a practical tool for you to use in meetings, correspondence, and broader engagement.

A key Member benefit

This resource is available exclusively to AFGC Members and reflects our commitment to delivering timely, relevant support to help you advocate effectively within your networks and with decision-makers.

These resources are in the secure members-only area of our website, so have your login details ready. If you need any assistance accessing your account, please contact communications@afgc.org.au

We welcome your feedback

We see these talking points as a living resource that will continue to evolve in response to the policy landscape and Member needs.

We welcome your feedback and suggestions for refinement or additional focus areas, noting also these points do not cover everything.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to strengthen and advance our sector’s voice.
