Announcing Sustaining Australia 2026: Made in Australia

11 September 2025

The AFGC is pleased to continue its partnership with ASN Media to deliver the next season of the Sustaining Australia series, which will launch at Food & Grocery Australia on 20–21 May 2026 at Sofitel Brisbane Central.

Now in its seventh season, Sustaining Australia has become a trusted platform to tell the story of our sector. Previous seasons have reached more than 40 million people with over 11.5 million views, amplifying the voice of Australia’s largest manufacturing industry and showcasing the leadership, innovation and resilience of our sector and membership.

2026 focus: Made in Australia

This year, the series will explore the overarching theme of Made in Australia through four key pillars:

  • Grown Here: advancing sustainable agriculture and partnerships with farmers
  • Made Here: modernising food and grocery manufacturing, packaging and innovation
  • Connected Here: strengthening resilient, secure and digital supply chains
  • From Here: building Australia’s global brand and expanding international markets

Together, these pillars provide a cohesive framework to highlight the issues shaping our industry. This series is all about the complexity of our sector, highlighting not only the global market we’re part of but the unique Australian aspect consumers know and love.

Why it matters

Sustaining Australia not only celebrates the depth and diversity of our sector, but also provides a unique platform to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities ahead. By featuring stories of leadership and best practice, it strengthens the AFGC’s advocacy, supports our policy agenda, and positions the industry at the forefront of public and political conversations.
